EVERYTHING A KID COULD WANT
AND A PARENT COULD NEED!
COMING SOON!

Ages 3-6
Children jump into a wallaby’s tummy pocket, hop
through trees with polka dot leaves, speed past flowers
that dance at night, and land in winsome adventures with
Pladdah, Whimple Snivel, and clever Sticky Wicky --
adventures that get kids moving, thinking creatively, and
actively building their social skills.

FOR PARENTS
ENSURE EMPATHY
All Faraway Woods episodes model and teach empathy, but individual episodes also teach friendship skills, helpfulness, kindness, manners, and listening. These are the pro-social skills research shows children must have in order to do well in school and beyond. And Faraway Woods gives children the opportunity to exercise their creativity—another skill research shows is on the decline.

FOR TEACHERS
GET YOUR CLASSROOM MOVING!
Faraway Woods uses creative drama and physical movement to ensure enjoyment, involvement, and learning.
Childrens’ physical participation in Faraway Woods is controlled and possible because of the group management techniques incorporated into the scripts and performances by trained, experienced creative drama teachers Peggy Wetli, Jeannette Price, and Peg Endres.
Supplemental activities to extend imaginations follow each episode.

AGES 3 - 6

Pegly opens each episode with a hint of what’s to come and a rhythmic activity kids do to become tiny enough to travel inside Mrs. Meriwinkle’s tummy pocket. Pegly closes episodes with suggestions of episode-related creative activities kids can do. She signs off with “Bye-bye precious ones.”
Pegly, Faraway Woods’ loving narrator, introduces herself as the series writer and creator.
